Someshwara Somanatha Temple also known as the Someshwara Temple Mangalore. It is situated on the banks of the Arabian Sea at the Western Ghats of South India 13 kilometers (8.1 mi) away from Mangalore. It is dedicated to the Lord Somanatha (Lord Shiva). This temple was built by the Kings of Alupa Dynasty in the 10th century A.D. The temple was under the Administrative rule of Kadambas of Banavasi, and Choula Kings of Ullala of the 12th century. This temple is a major attraction for the devotees of Lord Somanatha.
However, Someshwara Temple Mangalore is one of the sacred shrines of Lord Shiva. The main deity of this temple is Somanatha (Lord Shiva). Thousand of devotees come here every year to seek the path of Moksha. Millions of people visit this temple annually.
