Sirsi Marikamba Temple is dedicated to Goddess Marikamba also known as Maa Durga. She is considered one of the most powerful goddesses in the Hindu religion. Apart from that, Marikamba Temple is located in Sirsi, Karnataka State in the South of India. Moreover, it is also one of the oldest temples in the town which was built in 1688. Therefore, the temple has significance for Hindus, locals came to worship daily. Also, the Sirsi Marikamba Jaatre (chariot procession) of the deity is organized every alternate year in March and taken through the town. Lakhs of devotees participate in this Jaatre and many religious functions are also held in the temple.

The temple building looks amazing as it has a beautiful old and colorful structure. The temple has very special paintings of murals in Kaavi art, an art form that was popular in the coastal Konkan region of Karnataka. Many Hindu rituals and traditional worship are held in the temple to make the goddess happy and seek her blessings.
