Vaishno Devi Temple also known by various names such as Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Mandir and Vaishno Devi Bhavan is one of the most prominent Hindu temples, which is dedicated to the goddess Vaishno Devi. It is believed that Mata Vaishno Devi is one of the major forms of the supreme goddess Durga. The temple is located in Katra, Reasi on the slopes of Trikuta Hills within the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir in India. The famous pilgrims have a significant place for the Hindu Devotees.

Every year, millions of devotees visit this temple. It is also one of the richest temples in India with annual receipts of almost 16 million dollars according to some sources. It is considered one of the 51 Maha (major) Shakti Peethas dedicated to Durga. The Vaishno Devi Temple is administrated by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.

Mata Vaishno Devi Temple Pooja/ Aarti Timing

At the Mata Vaishno Devi Temple, Puja is performed twice a day. The first time was performed in the morning and the second Puja was performed in the evening immediately after sunset. These pujas are very lengthy and very sacred rituals. Puja should be compulsory attendance by the devotees, who visit the Mata Vaishno Devi Temple.
