The temple of Lord Shiva named Kottilingeshwara Temple located in Kammasandra village of Kolar district of Karnataka is famous. Which was constructed in 1980 by Swami Sambha Shiv Murthy. Kotilingeshwar Temple is home to one of the largest Shiva Lingas in the world. Thousands of devotees visit Kotilingeshwar temple every day. All the established Lingas are worshiped by the priests every day at 6 am and 6 pm in the temple. Apart from this, a special puja is performed at the time of the installation of new Lingas.
