Kottayam is a famous ancient Shiva temple in Kerala. Whose name is Ettumanur Mahadev Temple. This temple is considered to be the oldest and most popular temple in Kerala. In the temple, Lord Shiva is worshiped as Ardhanarishvara in the morning, Samhararudra in the evening, and Kirathamurthy in the afternoon. The doors of Ettumanoor Mahadeva Temple open from 4 am to 8:30 pm. From 4:30 am to 5:00 am, the consecration of Lord Shiva is done. Pandavas and sages are also worshiped in the temple.
Ettumanoor Mahadeva Temple Darshan Timings
Ettumanur Mahadevar Temple is a mythological temple of Kerala, where thousands of devotees come every day to have darshan of Lord Shiva. The main attraction of the temple is the festival seen in the month of Kumbh (February-March). This fair continues for ten days. In this Kumbh, seven elephants made of gold (Ezhara Ponnana in Malayalam) are displayed in public view.
