Arulmigu Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple also known as “Palani Temple” is a famous Hindu temple, which is the third of the Six Abodes of Murugan (Aarupadai veedugal). The Palani Temple is located in the city of Palani, Dindigul district, 100 kilometers (62 mi) southeast of Coimbatore and northwest of Madurai in the foothills of the Palani Hills, Tamil Nadu State of India. Palani temple is synonymous with Panchamritam, a sweet mixture made of five ingredients in the Sangam literature of Thirumurugatrupadai.
