Horanadu Annapoorneshwari Temple Darshan

The famous legend about the “Horanadu Annapoorneshwari Temple” is that God Shiva and his wife Parvati have an argument that resulted, in Shiva Declaring Everything in the world an illusion including food. Maa Parvati is the presiding goddess of food Annapoorna. Parvati goes against Lord Shiva to prove that food is not an illusion. Goddess Parvati disappeared in nature and became still. Then Parvati appeared as Annapuraneshwari and distributed food to all after climate change, plants not growing, and droughts.

You have to climb stairs to reach the temple and then you can perform Aarti and Puja. Most people visit this temple for Darshan. The real meaning of Annapoorneshwari is, that “Anna” means grains, rice, or food, and “Poorna” means complete.
