Thillai Nataraja Temple also known as the “Chidambaram Nataraja Temple” is one of the most prominent shrines of Hindu religion in the state of Tamil Nadu. Chidambaram Temple is dedicated to Nataraja and Govindaraja, the form of Shiva as the lord of dance and Maha Vishnu as the Judge of the dance. This temple is visited by millions of people annually. The temple was constructed in the Chola architecture. The temple was built by the king of Cholas, Pandyas dynasty.
