In the state of Karnataka, Ragigudda Anjaneya Temple is a very well-known shrine or religious place for Hindu devotees. This Temple is also famous with the name of Ragigudda Sri Prasanna Anjaneya Swamy Temple. It is located in Jayanagar, a suburb of Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. This is an ancient Hindu temple purely dedicated to the Sri Anjaneya. So in the Kannada region “Gudda” means hillock and that’s why the temple was formed from a heap of Ragi (finger millet). Constructed in 1969, Ragigudda Anjaneya Temple was officially registered in 1972. Consequently, the temple has expanded throughout time from a little idol to its present configuration.

This temple celebrates several festivals, but Shree Hanuman Jayanthi is the most significant. Over 35,000 pilgrims participate in the 12-day celebration. During this celebration, worshippers do Abhishek, poojas, and yogas in honor of Lord Hanuman. When pilgrims have fulfilled all of the ritualistic requirements, the temple administration distributes prasad. Devotees want to do the sacred Darshan of the Lord in Ragigudda Anjaneya Temple.
